This guide follows a popular English-language calendar drawing on North American and European traditions. Names vary between communities, regions and sources. These are cultural nicknames, rather than official astronomical names or one shared Indigenous calendar. Their seasonal associations mainly reflect the Northern Hemisphere; we do not automatically relabel them for the Southern Hemisphere.
